洋基隊「沙胖」 CC Sabathia傷癒歸隊，台北時間10日對金鶯隊先發，表現不差，但隊友守備不幫忙，牛棚也沒守住，終場洋基3比5輸金鶯，在爭美國聯盟東區王座的關鍵時刻，吞下2連敗。
沙胖日前因膝蓋舊傷復發，進入了傷兵名單，當時洋基隊一度認為沙胖本季已經報銷，不過沙胖經復健之後，今天重新站上投手丘，對金鶯隊先發，而且投的不差，但5局上二壘手 Stephen Drew的守備失誤，丟了2分，讓沙胖只先發4.2局即退場。
沙胖此戰只被打出4支安打失3分、1分責失，他退場時洋基、金鶯3比3平手，所以沙胖無關勝敗。
此戰8局上，金鶯隊Steve Pearce從洋基隊牛棚投手 Adam Warren轟出突破平手僵局的陽春砲（本季第10轟），Chris Davis除了在1局上率先敲出安打，打回金鶯第1分，9局上也擊出安打，打下保險分第5分，是金鶯隊能贏球的大功臣。
金鶯隊先發投手 Ubaldo Jimenez投7局被擊出4支安打包括Carlos Beltran的全壘打（本季第15轟），失3分，拿到勝投（11勝9敗）， Zach Britton本季第32場救援成功。洋基目前戰績77勝61敗，在美國聯盟東區排名第二，金鶯隊67勝72敗，排名第四。
